Content other than just digital work involves pieces of art work I have created over years of practice and dedication to producing images at a level I am satisfied with. In order to layout these pieces I would use measurements with the help of a pencil and ruler to plot specific points on the paper where specific drawings would start and end. For my first piece I started off simple with a smaller drawing that used little colour and mainly focused on the basic outline of the characters, personally this style felt too bland for me so I decided to include colour for certain areas of clothing to make the image stand out. The use of minimal colour means eyes are drawn to those areas faster, an example of how I used techniques for advertisement which attracts audiences to my product easier. This drawing was heavily inspired by a show called ID:Invaded, the shows premise is about virtual detectives, hence the detective inspired clothing and stances.
My second piece of work is a three character design from the famous show Evangelion. This drawing utilises the grey colour scheme to make a stark contrast to the white background, my use of lighter and darker greys to show shadowing and highlights represents the progressive I have made in using colour to portray an drawing's design. Overall, this is my favourite drawing I have made, mainly because the elements work together well to produce a visually stunning piece of art.
The final piece of art I will be showcasing on this portfolio is my version of a TV show poster for 'Mob phsyco 100', again this drawing is based on the grey colourscheme however, unlike the previous drawing I have blended the colours to create a gradient from light to dark grey, this is to represent the original design which included a gradient of vibrant colours to portray the characters power. I am more disapointed with this piece in the fact that not all the blending I tried worked. This showed me I still need to improve in some techniques to create drawings that will be more impressive and pleasing to me.
